Fri night I hit a deer fortunately my bus was having tail light problems 
so I was driving my wifes car.
   had I been driving the bus I probably would be dead or near dead.  my 
wife says that was too close a call it is time to part with my baby.

so 1978 bus with auto transmission and HP bus mod drop floor.
have all the paper since birth certificate from factory.
rebuilt engine (not a crate job) done by Derrick at Way out salvage
less than 1,000 on new engine still breaking it in.
spare engine and tranny but functional but mostly core value.
a full garage worth of parts including spare doors and sheet metal and 
some glass.  parts too numerous to mention.

who knows how many actual miles but I suspect somewhere around 400k
don't drive it much in winter but has rust in usual places
put new windshild glass and metal in a few years ago so is tight there
new metal brake lines and new rubber brake lines.
good tires michilin on front Hakapaletas on rear all season tires.

crane fireball ignition but mostly stock.  needs a good tuneup, but does 
run, is tagged and licensed/insured in Maryland. (just renewed the tags 
two weeks ago)

is Blue lower white upper color not stock paint.

have all the manuals, Bently, orange shop manual, auto tranny manual, fuel 
injection manual couple others.   no rear seats but storage locker and bed 
base in rear.
has Vanagon Blue seats.
one side window is broke but replacement window is coming and should be 
here next week

not giving it away and want it to go to loving home and someone who will 
drive her.

make offer for the whole thing all parts etc. bus is located in Baltimore 
MD. USA.
   have some specialty tools that could be included if price is right.


will miss her, am third owner and have had her since 93.

but my wife says my life is worth more than bus and she doesn't want to 
have to be one selling it if I get myself killed.

will cry when she leaves but if a good home may come visit occasionally.
has hand controls in it but will remove those.
