[T2] Silver socket / type2 Digest, Vol 66, Issue 7

Hi Kevin,

Got my silver socket working on my '78. I believe the socket itself is
grounded directly to the metal dash, and there should be a single hot 12v
wire going to the back of it with a spade connection. Take out the glove
box, and you will get a much better look at what's going on. You could
always run a new lead to it from the fuse box, if it is missing. I bought
one of those USB adapters myself, and got to the same place as you before
discovering that the lead was disconnected by the PO.
