yeah the front is pretty tough in a 78 but not enough to satisfy my wife, 
and I am getting up there and wrenching is not as much fun as it used to 
be.
  almost hope no one wants it that way I can tell my wife "I tried"
yeah I try to drive mostly daylight anyway although I have LED my design 
very bright taillights.(looks stock on outside) still they are not the 
brightest lights on the street.

hit a deer many years ago in my 65splitty Westy but was glancing blow and 
only did some cosmetic damage, easily fixed.  the "Sweet spot" for my van 
seems to be around 57-58mph so probably wouldn't have even seen the deer 
he would have been on the other side of the road by the time I got there.
   two days of "what ifs" that would have changed things. gotta stop second 
guessing and move on.  currently with the broken side window I can't drive 
the bus (legally) anyway til I get the new window in.  (bought 2 so will 
have a spare)
