Hello
I little Update on CV-Joints job :

https://goo.gl/photos/3cDUXk4dqgr4HaJDA
The brand new CV-jjoints I purchased are on the photo on the left ,
the old OEM VW part on the right.
There is some recess on the inner part of the new CV-Joint , which
will slide to inner of the shaft and if there is no spacer to hold it
to the edge of the groves on the shaft the CV will slide inwards with
extra 3.5mm. I do not know why this manifacturer did this recess -
perhaps to allow for diferent adjustments of the lenght of the total
assembly - by adding the spacers or assembling withouth them .

I found also original VW file with explanation of the total lenght of
the assembly :
https://goo.gl/photos/uNDekzUvzEAqVNzJ8
and now have to figure what lenght I need for a t2 buss from 1970 ...

To double check I am looking at the wear of the old CV joints where it
is relative to the edges of the cv joints bearing bedding .

Regards
