[T2] Silver Socket Adapter

I was just reading about these adaptors, and wondering about a USB charger that could plug into it.

Has anyone ever tried this or something like it for their bus?

It is essentially a USB adaptor - but instead of plugging into a normal American cigarette lighter sort of outlet, it plugs into the "silver socket" located just below the glove compartment?

I like that this one has a Voltmeter built in. The PO of my bus installed a little cigarette 12v outlet in the glove compartment, which I currently use to connect my cell phone charger. The charger works intermittently, and I can't quite tell if it is a voltage issue, or an issue with the charger just having worn out. With a volt meter built in - when the thing isn't working properly, I should be able to see if I am getting proper voltage to the adaptor.
