Sami:

I have considered them, and I have a body man in TJ that lost his green card. The big issue is that any vehicle taken to MX has to be running. My camper is completely stripped down. If they would let me trailer it down there, it is a good alternative, but can be pretty slow. One buddy’s sunroof bus took a year, and then lost the cables!

Hi Dave,
Since you're in San Diego, have you considered body shops south of the border?

Does anybody else have experience with Mexican body shops?

Hello:

I am having some difficulty finding a shop (other than Earl Sheib) to do a complete paint job. Three places I found on Yelp were 1) booked into January (impressive), and 2 & 3 won’t do full body paint jobs.

I have a 93 Vanagon that needs a bunch of bodywork and paint, and a 71 camper in similar condition. I also want a respray on the roof of my 73 panel van.

Any clues?
