[T2] hard to start in the rain...

Thanks for the tips on misting the engine while trying to start at night. I was wondering if I have the engine running, and mist it with a spray bottle - will that work too? Or would it only work when trying to start it?

I'm on a tight schedule - with a newborn...so time is a precious commodity - and when I have time it is tricky to find someone to come turn over the engine while I watch the back. I think it might be easier if I just got it running at night, and then hit it with the spray bottle. And is there spot in particular I should spray, or not spray? Or just spray everything electrical?
