[T2] Electrical help please

crazyness and if I could find someone I trusted and could afford I would 
have the whole *)#@^ van rewired.

but

if I put jumper from Battery to + of coil  >  engine starts.
hot spark
if I turn ignition on with jumper from battery. > engine will not start.
VERY weak spark

engine will keep running if jumper is removed and igniton on
engine will not restart without jumper

if engine is running and ignition is on, will keep running if jumper is 
removed and can be stopped normally.  will not restart.
VERY weak spark

if engine is running and ignition is off engine will continue running but 
will stop if jumper is removed.  will restart with jumper attached.
Hot spark

in sum,
jumper engine starts
ignition weak spark will not start.
keeps running if either jumper or igniton on.




is 78 with auto tranny
has cold start relay
and has high output ignition.


please while I still have a tiny bit of my sanity and hair left!!!
