Hey Guys,

Here is a pic of my current mirror. https://photos.app.goo.gl/5eEsT9stCADaJ9nt6 may be hard to see but I put an arrow to the spot where the joint is weak. I don't know if I can take the mirror out of the frame, then potentially access a screw behind where the mirror is and tighten this joint. I'm guessing it is probably just a crimped joint that has loosened up. I think the mirrors that were originally on my bus looked the same. I'm guessing the PO got repros a long time ago- and I just replaced the repros (which were rusty and pitted) with repros that were shiny reflective and floppy...

I got my bus originally back in 1997 or 1998....

Alternatively - I get one the WW repro that Wolfsberg West sells. http://www.wolfsburgwest.com/cart/DetailsList.cfm?ID=211857513BSL although E&B claim that is no good...

I just saw these - https://www.aircooledaccessories.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=61_66&product_id=99 which looks nice and heavy duty - but I guess you lose the elephant style side mirror, and just attach a round one to them?

I like the elephant style - big mirror to see a lot.

I am pretty sure my bus at one point had some sort of truck mirror because there were always some extra holes on the driver side door - that looked like they were made to support a big mirror. I had these filled when I repainted my bus.

Or I go on TheSamba and find a used one (E&B suggestion). Is there a way to tighten these up, if they loosen up? I feel like the way mine is designed, you can't tighten them up once they loosen. I don't know if I buy a used one - how long it will last, or if they are even tight to begin with.

Then again - my doors have always sagged a bit - I wonder if I need to get the oversized shafts from WW and a round mirror...
