[VB] floppy mirrors?

Hi Guys,

I've got the elephant ear (At least I think that is what they are called) mirrors on my '65. They are relatively new (ie low mileage) actually installed a few years ago. They seem super floppy, when driving they vibrate so much - it is hard to even use them.

It seems like the metal is super thin on the back. Has anyone run into this problem, or have ideas on how to address it?
