I was told about Niki Lauda by an Austrian friend some years ago.
Evidently he is very famous there, a household name.
I did see that movie and thought it quite good.

No that is not so.
Actually I saw a video with Lauda talking about cars, some time before, in which I don't think he look burned.
Ruth told me how that he had been in a crash and burned.

Of course, since I had just seen the move I thought of him.

Thanks, Jim, for the OT film review. I had a bit of time in the day with Formula
Ford, in a Lotus. Sounds like I should see it.

Sterling Moss was driving. It was a reasonably honest representation of the
times and the story. My wife, who uses race day as an excuse to do anything away
from the TV said, "I liked that way more than I thought I would." The actors who
played Lauda & Hunt were well cast. Ditto Lord Hesketh. Go see it. You'll enjoy
it. There were spots that a true believer could pick apart, but someone who
wasn't there then wouldn't notice and it was wonderful to see the Tyrell P34 in
action again. When it's released for private ownership, I'll own it.

a typical overblown Ron Howard bit, did you see it?
