Kevin,

I would check the wiring/connectors from the battery to your fuse bus since that path is shared by all your failure modes.

Hi Guys,

Couple questions on electrical gremlins. One problem I've had for a while with my bus - while driving sometimes the radio will just die. No power at all. Next time I stop if I rotate the fuses, I can hear a little crackle on one of them. Then radio works again.

I took this fuse out, and polished the connections as well as I could, and put some dielectric grease in there. Re-install fuse. And problem still rears it'sugly head every now and then. Kind of a pain, as I like listening to music while driving.

This last trip - I noticed that the bus seemed to buck a tiny bit - then power to radio stopped. It was a super minute little buck. It may have been a bump in the road for all I know, but it seemed to happen at exactly the time that the radio lost power.

My other electrical issue - my wiper stopped working. When I hit the stalk coming off the steering column, nothing happens. Any guidance on troubleshooting this appreciated. It worked when I parked it for the winter - but nice weather is back, and I get to drive my VW's again!
