[T2] [Q] Dropping Transmission

only on a vanagon.

you can't do it on a bus - not even on a late bus - the nosecone won't
drop down, the torsion housing is in the way.

you'd have to move the engine back - but it wont, because the rear
body work doesn't come out.

you -could- go through the massive pain of trying to remove the
nosecone, but I dont really think that would give enough clearance.
and you'd have to reinstall it later.....  and try to not get
underbody crap into the insides...
