I guess I’m saying – check the schematic for a ’78 or ’79 bus. Isn’t yours an earlier bay window?

Thanks for the info Kevin. I'm pretty sure there was 8 connections, but there is only 7 in the photo and there is no grey/black wire in the schematic.

I don’t recall exactly – but I think there was an extra wire there for later model buses. Ie the later model buses use the extra wire for something (I can’t recall?) so the replacements include the extra wire, but it is not needed.

Then again I may be confusing the turn signal switch with the ignition switch…if so, sorry.
