[T2] EGR light?

Hi Guys,

Happy holidays...
The EGR light just came on in my '78 westy. It has about 75,000 miles. I understand this refers to the exhaust gas recirculator. I guess it is supposed to be changed? But these are NLA right? Is this somehow linked to the odometer? I think the PO took the EGR out of the vehicle (I've got some extra parts, he said he only put on for inspections, but then removed -  as they are NLA, so he didn't want them to wear out.

Anyway, do I just reset it, and not worry about it, or is there something I should do beside that?
