Ok, I checked timing and it was about 9 btdc at 950 rpm. 7 btdc at 850 rpm. Total advance at 3500 rpm at 34 degrees btdc, vacuum hose connected. Perhaps a bit too much... Readjusted to 7 deg btdc at 950 (32 full advance) and drove it up and down the 21 degree incline. There _appears_ to be a bit more power and CHT hit a max of *only* 395 F, compared to 414 F before. Not a perfect test, but certainly encouraging! More next year :) Thanks all for listening to my ramblings and for on and off-list conversations and advice!
