=======

	At a classic car race mtg on the weekend I was told by a
Jowett Jupiter driver (who had come 4th in his class - coming up in
the world for that ingenious but not overpowered vehicle - that F
Porsche only got the task of developing the VW engine after it had
been begun by Walter Moore, an Englishman head-hunted from Norton by
NSU. Can anyone confirm or correct this? It is true that Moore had
that unusual history; but did NSU take a 'first go' at the People's
Car?
