John,

Later model -76-later bus and Vanagon seats will not fit your bus without
major modification to the seat rails mounted to the wheel wells. However,
you can fit a late '74 or '75 high back bucket seat for more comfort.

'68--'75 use the same tracks and are interchangeable.
'76-'79 and Vanagons use the same/similar tracks and are interchangeable.

Most  aftermarket or different make/model seats will sit you way too high,
obstructing your view of the road. It also makes smacking your head into
the door jamb a far more common occurrence when getting into the bus.
