[T2] Type 4 to Type 2

Hello List,

I have a 72 Bus that I bought about 18 years ago.  In good shape but has a tired Corvair engine that I installed after the Type 4 engine blew up.  I am now thinking that rather than rebuilding the Corvair engine I may go back to a VW engine.  I understand that in Europe they sold Busses with the Bug engine up to 1979.  I should be able to install a bug engine in my bus.  Bug engines are plentiful on SAMBA and other sites.  I will need a transaxle to match.  Has anyone ever done this?  I’d like to know if you have.
