Like Bob said, take extra care that the device always fails to flaps wide
open, or you will burn up your engine. With a digital thermostat and
servo-motor, this will be an interesting, but essential design element. A
hard-linked servo-motor must somehow retract/extend on a power off or
signal off condition. The servo must be in default open, so a servo motor
failure remains wide open.
