This is actually an engine killer. Your choke is wide open bathing the cylinders with non-lubricating gas. It's better for all vehicles if you start the car and and then drive gently allowing the engine to warm up as quickly as possible. In Germany it's illegal to let your car idle to warm up because they know its bad for the car and the environment. And we all know that Germans know cars ;-).
