The Great Bus Tour

       

        The Great Bus Tour is more than a relay, it's a mind set. Its premise is to allow VW bus owners from all over the world to meet in the spirit of friendship and fun and to foster the preservation of these unique and people oriented vehicles. To that end the Tour's route is determined by the location of people with VW buses who want to participate. The participants will drive from location to location and hand off the token of VW unity which is the BATON and it's attendant souvenir box.

        The Tour has been under way since Autumn of 1999 and has been rolling along ever since.  You can check out what's been happening on the Tour by visiting our TRIP REPORT , ARCHIVES, and TOUR HISTORY  pages . We will be updating the Trip Report and  Archive pages as we get reports in.

How To Sign Up

        If you'd like to participate in the Tour, please sign up with Chris Huff at hubcap@type2.com and tell her where you are located and how far you are willing to drive. Chris will add you to our new list of DRIVERS and will inform you by e-mail when the tour is in your area. For an update of where the hubcap is now and where it is headed, please check on our MAP  which, alas, has no map yet , but lists the drivers who have the hubcap now and who will be getting  to drive in the Tour
