15 185/75R   6 months Continental C21's....I replaced passenger tires with these, highly reinforced, I noticed immediate improvement in steering and side to side movement... 1969 Transporter

We live in a very windy area and they handle the wind very
well. Sidewall stiffness will help the most with the wind. The
205/70/15's are a touch smaller diameter than the factory size but are
way larger diameter than the 165/R15's I took off. I am running stock
15" bus wheels with a stock height Double Cab so I don't want to say for
sure they will work if lowering or different rims are concerned. These
tires are not designed to go on a rim as narrow as the factory wheels so
you need to decide that for yourself.

What a difference in the ride. They replaced some very old (but plenty of good tread) Continentals (6.40x15) bias ply tires that were on the truck when I bought it in '92.  When I first saw the Michelins mounted on my stock rims (crows feet), I was afraid they were too wide to fit in the rear wheel wells, but they did, barely, with the truck jacked up to let the drums hang down as far as they can. The ride is soooo much smoother.
