trip. The trip took place on a weekend in March, 1995.

These first two pictures were scanned from full page enlargements, which were made from standard 35mm film and apparently printed on a very good quality color printer. These were supplied to me by Dave Kautz (Thanks Dave!). Martha Rubin just sent me a batch of pictures and a video tape of the adventure in Last Chance canyon, hopefully I will be able to get them up on the web in, oh, say, a month or so. :)
This is a large (56k) picture of most of the Red Rock campers at Burro Schmidt's tunnel. I think the only ones missing were Alice Gibb, Larry McPhee, Michael, and Julia who visited the tunnel the next day. Note the array of photovoltaic panels on the roof - the elderly woman that keeps the place up lives out there all alone, and is completely self-sufficient.
Another large (65k) picture of my beloved boat about to enter a wash in Last Chance canyon, near the Burrow Schmidt Tunnel. The road got so bad farther on that we had to turn back. Turns out it was the wrong road to the tunnel anyway, but it was a tremendously fun offroad experience for everyone, as far as I could tell!
Finally, an Mpeg movie of Martha Rubin's bus getting unstuck in the Mojave desert. After this experience, Martha was more gung-ho than ever about driving offroad!
